Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Seville, PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Granada, and with experience in the private sector. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Malaga, Diego has spent most of his research career evaluating neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Notably, he has published the first model developed worldwide with artificial intelligence for the analysis of hereditary Alzheimer's disease in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, the University of Munich, and the DZNE research center. Diego has diversified his research focus to include dyslexia during his current position at the University of Malaga, collaborating with the Evolutionary Systems and Biomedical Engineering Lab (LaSEEB) group from the ISR (University of Lisbon), and contributing significantly to the advancement of knowledge in this field. In addition to his work on neurodegenerative disorders and dyslexia, Diego has several works related to clinical data modeling. He actively collaborates with the Medical Oncology Service of the University Hospital San Cecilio in Granada and the Cardiology Service of the Hospital ClÃnico in Malaga. Diego is currently involved in several research projects, including technology transfer initiatives, and remains an active member of the organization of international scientific congresses such as IWINAC.
