I obtained a degree in Engineering Physics and Technology (2001, Instituto Superior Técnico) and postgraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering (2003, Faculdade de Ciências) from the University of Lisbon. My Doctoral training took place at Aalto University School of Science, Finland, with research based on psychophysics and neuroimaging to study multisensory interaction and the human mirror neuron system (2008). My research interests include experimental neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and the use of behavioral and neuroimaging methods to study function in health and disease.
