ISR-Lisboa @ european researchers night

On Sept 30th 2016, ISR-Lisboa joined the European Researchers Night initiative displaying some of our research projects and ideas to the general public in the Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Centro Ciênca Viva. The goal of the initiative all over Europe is to provide to the society at large with a glimpse of the future developments in technology, science, and arts.

ISR-Lisboa participated with a demonstration of underwater vehicles, autonomous helicopters and social robots that attracted the attention of many visitors of all ages.

ISR Project Funded to Detect Mars Craters Using AI

PT Space announced the winners of the 2024 PROSSE initiative and one of the selected projects, UNFORSEEN, iwas composed by ISR|Lisboa researchers. It aims to revolutionize crater detection on Mars using unsupervised deep learning, eliminating the need for extensive annotated data. Principal Investigator Margarida Silveira highlighted the significance of craters for understanding Mars’ geology.
