AMMAIA
Roman Town, Non-destructive Survey, Geoarchaeology, Archaeological Materials

The nuclear ideia of this project consists in the elaboration of a joint operation between two major institutes and several sub-departments and research centers, to study a Roman town in ancient Lusitania by way of a wide array of methods derived from archaeo-historical research, natural sciences and applied technologies. The well integrated approaches are bundled to carefully map and study the remains of an abandoned Roman city, to analyse different aspects of its territorial use in Antiquity and to reconstruct the appearance of a Roman town and its immediate hinterland.
