The 2021 LARSyS Annual Meeting was a success!

This two-day reunion gathered researchers from ISR, IN+, ITI and MARETEC promoting interdisciplinary discussions about current and future challenges and opportunities. Organized in a hybrid format, this year’s event marked the cautious return to in-person activities.

The Associate Laboratory of Robotics and Engineering Systems (LARSyS) brings together nearly 400 researchers from four core research units. Nearly one hundred participants debated current and future aspects in robotics and systems engineering, fostering a cooperative environment within the LARSyS.

Promoting the scientific culture of all those involved, both university students, Professors and industry professionals were invited to share their work. Structured in sessions organized according to the LARSyS Thematic lines – OCEAN, URBAN, AIR, LIFE  and INTERACTION – the event was packed with presentations, student pitches and discussions with external guests and stakeholders. António Costa e Silva (Responsible for the Recovery and Resilience Plan). Joana Mendonça (Presidente of ANI), Ana Neves (Coordinator of PERIN) were guest speakers at the plenary session and Ricardo Conde (President of PTSpace) participated in the workshop dedicated to Aeronautics and Space technologies.
