Indian delegation visits ISR

An Indian Delegation headed by the Mr. Y.S.Chowdary, Minister of State for Ministry of Science & Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences and the Ambassador of India to Portugal, Mrs. K.Nandini Singla, visited ISR on April 20 2017. The other members of the delegation included Dr.K.Somasundar, Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Dr Prasanna Kumar, Director, NIO, Goa, Mr. S. Rakesh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Antrix Corporation Limited, ISRO, Dr. K. Sivan, Distinguished Scientist / Member, Space Commission & Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO, and Mr. Amararam Gujar, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Lisbon.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for research and scientific collaborations between Portugal and India in the areas of systems and robotics. Several Indian doctoral students and researchers working at IST also met the delegation and presented their proposals for fostering the scientific and technological development in India
